Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data VoltixC collects through voltixconnect.com, why we use it, who receives it and what choices you have. It covers people who visit the site and business buyers who contact us by enquiry form, email or chat. Most of our buyers are in Europe and North America, so we wrote it with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in mind.

The data controller for this website is Guangzhou FuTeXin Technology Co., Ltd., which sells cable lugs, mechanical lugs and crimp connectors under the brand VoltixC.

What data we collect

We collect the data you send us, plus basic technical data that every website receives.

Enquiry form: your name, company, email address, country, product line, conductor size, quantity and the description of your request. Name and email are required; the other fields are optional.
Email: the messages and files you send to our sales mailbox, and our replies.
WhatsApp chat (if used): if the site shows a WhatsApp chat button and you use it, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages you exchange with us.
Server logs and technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time of each request. The hosting server records these automatically.
Cookies: small files described in the section on cookies and analytics below.

We do not ask for payment card details, identity document numbers or sensitive data such as health information through this website, and we ask you not to send them.

Why and on what legal basis

Each purpose below has a legal basis under the GDPR and the UK GDPR.

Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation: this is a step you ask us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Handling an order and keeping business records: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in running the business (Article 6(1)(f)).
Keeping the site secure and measuring how it is used: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f)); for non-essential cookies, your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) where your local law requires it.
Meeting legal duties: where a law requires us to keep or disclose records (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters unless you ask for them. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CCPA defines it. We make no automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. This site uses the following:

Functional: the enquiry form (Fluent Forms) uses a security token to block fake submissions, and our caching plugin (WP Rocket) stores copies of pages on the server so they load faster. These are needed for the site to work.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, which it uses to estimate your general location. We do not use it to identify you by name.
Chat widget: if a WhatsApp chat button is shown, it loads a third-party script that may set cookies when the button is used.

Where consent is required by your local law, we ask for it before non-essential cookies are set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us and on our instructions:

Hostinger: hosts this website and our email, including the SMTP service that delivers form notifications to our mailbox.
WhatsApp (Meta): carries chat messages if you contact us through WhatsApp. Your use of WhatsApp itself is also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Google: provides Google Analytics 4.

These providers act as processors for the data they handle for us. We may also disclose data when a law, a court order or a public authority requires it, or when we need to protect our legal rights. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

International transfers

VoltixC is based in China, where our team reads and answers enquiries. Your data is also stored on servers run by our service providers, which may be outside your country.

For transfers out of the EU, the UK or other countries with transfer rules, we rely on the transfer being necessary for steps you asked for before a contract, or for performing a contract with you. Where a provider offers them, we also rely on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK equivalent. You can ask us by email for details of these safeguards.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and quotation records for as long as the business relationship continues and for a reasonable period after it ends. That lets us answer follow-up questions, handle repeat orders and meet record-keeping duties. Server logs and analytics data are kept for the shorter periods set by our hosting and analytics providers.

When we no longer need the data, we delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete your data earlier, as described in the next section.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights:

Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
Deletion: ask us to erase your data.
Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
Portability: receive the data you gave us in a common format, or have it sent to another company.
Withdrawal of consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.
Complaint: complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

California residents may also ask what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them, and we will not treat anyone differently for using these rights.

To use any of these rights, email hugo@voltixconnect.com, preferably from the address you used to contact us. We reply within the time limit set by the law that applies to you, and we may ask for information to confirm your identity first. There is no charge.

Security

We protect personal data with reasonable technical and organisational measures. The website runs on HTTPS, so data you send through the enquiry form is encrypted in transit, and access to enquiry records is limited to the people who handle your request.

No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your data has been misused, tell us at once by email.

Children

This website is for business buyers. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, our service providers or the law change. The date below shows the current version, and we will note significant changes on this page.
