The nylon-insulated spade terminals in the SNY Nylon-Insulated Spade Terminals series are supplied for wire termination at a screw or stud using a nylon-insulated open spade tongue. Ring and spade terminals use a crimp barrel on the wire side and a tongue on the mounting side. Wire size determines the barrel choice, while stud or screw size determines the tongue opening.
SNY combines nylon insulation with an open spade tongue. The open tongue changes the mounting method compared with a ring terminal, so the equipment instructions must permit that form.
